Vortrag: Feminist Foreign Policy: Leonie Stamm (DGAP)
Six out of ten Germans have never heard of the term Feminist Foreign Policy or do not know what it means — yet it could be crucial in shaping how Germany and Europe position themselves in a world where the rights of women, minorities, and democracies are increasingly under threat. What role can feminist foreign policy still play in times of authoritarianism, populism, and right-wing extremism?
Leonie Stamm has been a Research Fellow at the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) since 2021. Her work focuses on gender and feminist approaches in foreign and security policy, including feminist foreign policy and its implementation. In addition, she oversees the study groups Strategic Issues, European Policy, and Global Future Issues(in cooperation). These study groups bring together members of the German Bundestag, representatives from ministries, and the foreign policy community for confidential discussions. The goal is to facilitate debate on strategic questions regarding German and European positions while developing concrete policy options.
